PCEHSD is a high speed data link between an Indigo2 and HSDs or HSD devices. The PCEHSD board provides an EISA bus controlled emulation of Encore's HSDII board. The PCEHSD, an intelligent interface with an onboard processor and data buffering, making it easy for application programmers to use.
An external device--ie, a visual system--can interrupt, allowing an Indigo2 to drive a visual system.
The software driver is currently under development. The PCEHSD will drive HSD peripherals from the EISA bus on the Indigo2 and interface to an Encore Host via the HSD. It supports the same HSD modes as the VMEHSD.
