FCS 250 VME/64 Adapter

The FCS 250 VME/64 Adapter is a Fibre Channel compliant network interface adapter. Fibre Channel is ideally suited for networks requiring high-bandwidth, low-latency data transfers or scalable I/O. The FCS 250 VME/64 Adapter interface to the VMEbus is a 64-bit bus-master capable of burst data transfer at full VMEbus speed. The adapter's interface to Fibre Channel is via an Ancor Very High Speed Communications Interface (VHSCI) ASIC and an OLC-266 Optical Link Card. A two megabyte SRAM buffer provides for outbound and inbound data. A 32-bit, 33MHz Intel i80960CA processor and on-board firmware provide control.
