eXceed/OS2 - this PC X Window connectivity software for the IBM OS/2 platform allows users to connect to, and display, applications from X Window System hosts from their familiar OS/2 environment. As a high performance 32-bit X server, eXceed/OS2 takes full advantage of the multi-tasking and performance capabilities of the OS/2 operating system. Also providing interchangeable copy and paste, eXceed/OS2 allows users to transfer data between X hosts (such as UNIX and VMS) and DOS, Microsoft Windows, and OS/2 applications. The PC X server features the bundled X Development Kit for local X client development, single and multiple window modes, host-based or local window managers, simultaneous backing store and save unders, point & click start-up of X applications, complete support for X Window System Release 5, plus five different start-up methods.
