Cabletron's MicroMMAC serves as the ideal remote office hub, providing low cost-per-port connectivity along with the scalability and advanced management capabilities needed for a growing network environment. The state of the art architecture of the MicroMMAC features Intel's i960 mircro-processor and includes RMON and MIB II support, plus Cabletron's Distributed LAN Monitoring (DLM) software and Runtime TFTP Download. Through DLM, the MicroMMAC can monitor any SNMP or IP device in the enterprise. The DLM also extends RMON support to non-RMON devices. BRIM technology is also incorporated in the MicroMMAC to provide flexible, in the hub bridged-routing interface to any standard technology.
