The HSDi356 provides a general-purpose data input and output capability to any Silicon Graphics Computer. The key features of the product include:
Fast Wide single-ended or differential SCSI interface for ease of interfacing to host computer.
External 8-bit data port able to sustain data rates greater than 16 MB and a peak rate of 20 MB.
Internal data buffer of 32 MB, expandable to 128 MB, to compensate for different external serial data streams or multiplexed data channels.
Utilises standard SCSI device driver to facilitate systems integration and future support.
