BLAST is a high speed communication software which provides error-free asynchronous file transfer between computers. BLAST gets data between machines reliably and quickly, by using the BLAST protocol, Xmodem, Ymodem, Zmodem or Kermit. The full-function communications product also offers more than a dozen terminal emulations and multiple levels of security. The rugged BLAST protocol protects data against delays and errors caused by line noise. BLAST supports over 24 platfroms and more than 30 operating systems including: Apple(System7), Data General(DG/UC), DEC(VMS), DEC Alpha(Open VMS), HP9000(HP/UX), Interactive Unix, MSDOS, RS6000(AIX), SCO Unix, Silicon Graphics (IRIX) Sun (Solaris) and Windows.
