The MacImageNode provides a networked video input/output solution for SGI computers via the Macintosh platform. The MacImageNode enables SGI users to send image sequences via Ethernet to the Macintosh for processing and frame accurate recording onto videotape. The system includes a broadcast quality video card and the DQ-Animaq controller which provides frame accurate video capture for rotoscoping, compositing and effects production. Videotape, laser disc and digital disk recorders are supported in NTSC and PAL standards.
The MacIMagenode enables users to enhance and integrate SGI and Mac based graphics establishing a cross platform, production environment for the creation of animation, effects and multimedia programs.
