It includes advanced tools like Digital OptiF/X for effects like lens flare, fog and explosions; particle systems for solid and gaseous particles as well as CompuHair for superrealistic, life-like hair; Real World Camera Lens for cinematographer-level camera controls; Alias | Wavefront CharacterBuilder for powerful character animation; and PROcreator tools for games developers. Version 7 of PowerAnimator (available Fall `95), will add a powerful new UI which accelerates the workflow for power users; ShapeShifter for blending the shapes of multiple 3-D models; Boolean operations for both NURBS and polygonal models; automatic polygon reduction; and OpenAlias, a new plugin interface for adding custom effects.
