K-Spool® allows Macintosh and SGI workstation users to share any PostScript printer or imaging device on the network. This UNIX application functions as a print server and PostScript filter, allowing flexibility in print spooling and RIPs. Printing devices may be connected by Ethernet, LocalTalk, or through a serial connection. Mac and UNIX users may choose the most appropriate output device, i.e., low-resolution devices for proofing , high-resolution image setters for color separations. This plug-and-play Xinet software runs on IRIX 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x.
