The Statistics Toolbox integrates powerful, flexible tools for statistics and data analysis with the MATLAB® numeric computing and visualization environment. The Toolbox provides functions for probability distributions, random number generators, statistical graphics, linear models, descriptive statistics, and hypothesis testing. Interactive graphics, provided by a set of GUI tools, make it easy to solve fundamental problems in statistics and probability. The functions in the Toolbox are MATLAB M-files, which enable the users to see the algorithms and implementations, as well as to make changes or create new functions to address a specific application.
