HOTMAC®

HOTMAC® is a 3-dimensional meteorology computer code used to predict diurnal variations of wind, temperature, humidity, and atmospheric turbulence. Important features of HOTMAC include realistic topography, accurate turbulence formulation, nested grid capability, tall tree canopy effect, and coupling between condensation and turbulence. HOTMAC has been used to simulate a wide range of mesoscale atmospheric phenomena whose horizontal scale extends from 10 km to 1000 km and the results are published extensively in professional literature. Researchers in meteorology, environmental sciences, civil engineering, and geophysical science find HOTMAC a useful tool for various issues in the atmospheric sciences.
