ARSAP is a system accounting package for Unix that allocates computer system usage back to users, projects and departments. ARSAP is used by computer management to perform resource tracking, and chargeback, software package usage platforms, including Silicon Graphics. In addition to tracking standard computer usage measurements like CPU time, connect time, workstation seat time, and disk space, ARSAP also tracks Oracle database usage back to the user or department. ARSAP is for the systems manager who needs factual data to allocate computer and software usage costs back to the user, justify equipment purchases and perform resource management.
