The TACOM Thermal Image Model (TTIM) was developed by OptiMetrics, Inc. for the Vehicle Survivability Division at the U.s. Army Tank-Automotive Command (TACOM) in Warren, Michigan. Distribution and support of the program for U.S. Government agencies and Government Contractors is provided by OptiMetrics, Inc., an Ann Arbor, Michigan research firm specializing in image processing and vehicle signature analysis and prediction.
TTIM is an interactive computer code which simulates the performance of IR imaging sensors operating in realistic battlefield environments. Its ability to produce simulated imagery has proven useful in application including sensor and tracking algorithm simulations, obscurant model development, and vehicle design evaluations.
