EiffelBuild is an application and interface builder for rapid development of quality graphical user interfaces for various X-Windows toolkits, such as Motif, Openlook, as well as Windows for Macintosh. EiffelBuild permits the interactive design and development of user interfaces and applications. A high quality user interface, based on powerful drag-and-drop facilities, makes EiffelBuild an efficient easy to learn tool. EiffelBuild allows the construction of modes by moving icons to associate commands with events contexts. It completes applications by visually constructing the transitions between modes. The application builder has the ability to specify not just the interface but the underlying application semantics. EiffelBuild generated clear, readable and maintainable Eiffel code. It takes advantage of the powerful "Melting Ice Technology," an incremental compilation technique to achieve fast re-execution cycles.
