Wind/U, by Bristol Technology, is the Microsoft Windows API on UNIX/Motif. Wind/U enables Microsoft Windows applications to run as native UNIX/Motif applications. The existing Windows application is recompiled in the UNIX environment and linked to the Wind/U Library, allowing the Windows application to execute in the native UNIX environment. Microsoft Windows applications ported to UNIX with the Wind/U toolkit maintain identical functionality between Windows and UNIX versions, including features such as on-line help, printing support, combo boxes, MDI, DLLs, DDE and Visual C++ MFC support.
