View3D provides an easy way of adding powerful, interactive 3D visualization based on OpenGL to X/Motif applications. Using View3D, striking displays can be created which visually convey far more information than conventional charts and graphs. 3D objects can include mesh surfaces, raster images, polylines, points, etc. Surfaces may be artificially illuminated, and attributes such as colors, color gradients, transparency and drawing styles set by the user.
