Linda®

Linda® provides a simple, portable, and efficient environment for parallel programming. A Linda dialect is created by inserting six simple operations into an existing programming language such as C. These operations manipulate a logically shared, content-addressable object memory. Since each Linda dialect is based on a standard programming language, it provides convenient access to parallelism within a familiar software development environment. Scientific Computing Associates' Linda implementation enhances the programming environment with an interactive debugging and analysis tool called the Tuplescope.

Linda runs on shared or distributed memory machines and on networks of workstations. A workstation-based code development system is available.
