Robotic Control

Under funding from NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, AAC has developed an autonomous neurocontroller capable of adapting to changing loads as well as changing robot arm dynamics. This robotic control platform makes use of the ASC dual C40 Neural Network Processor System. The Neural Network Processor (NNP) is capable of multiple instruction, multiple data path (MIMD) computation. An NNP system has the capability of storing the activation of 8k neurons at any one time as well as the capability to compute up to 32k interconnections per module. The computational capability of a single module is 140M interconnections per second (35mhz). An 8 module NNP system is capable of over one billion connections per second.
