There is much to consider when it comes to scanning, processing, and recording images. EFILM's engineers and designers are not only experts in their fields, but have developed proprietary software and a proprietary process to ensure film consistency and color balance throughout any film. EFILM engineers have written specific algorithms for gamma correction (color balance) that help in such areas as contrast, scaling, increasing dynamic range, interpolation, filtering up, and sharpening and adjusting contrast ratios. And because video is only capable of 256 gray-scale, EFILM has the ability to increase the film's color, filter, and contrast ratio to enable much sharper interpolation of elements. This process and technology has quickly become the industry standard, making it possible to achieve film with superior color balance, free from grain, interlacing, or scan lines. EFILM has consistently released video projects for cinema that are indistinguishable from original film and show no video artifacts when projected.
