RAL-CGM is a program to interpret Computer Graphics Metafiles. It can:

- Translate them to a different encoding (Binary, Character or Clear Text)
- Display CGM's on screen using X-Windows, VGA screen on PCs or Tektronix 4200 series graphics terminals
- Send CGM's to a printer or plotter (PostScript or HPGL)
RALCGM was written by staff at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) in the UK, hence the name of the program.
Note: IRIS GL support is not enabled in this build.
