ntop is a Unix tool that shows the network usage, similar to what the popular top Unix command does. ntop is based on libpcap and it has been written in a portable way in order to virtually run on every Unix platform.

Important
Patch 2404 (libpthread fixes/support) must be installed on 6.2 for this package to work.
WARNING
Ntop implements a nice Web based front end for your Network statistics but allowing everyone to view this is obviously a Bad Thing. In the home directory of the user running ntop (probably root) create a file called .ntop and put in something like:
ntopadmin passwordSubstituting appropriate values. This gives some access control to the web pages.
