J-Info 0.5 (1997/01/05) by Yoshimitsu Kanai J-Info is a database package based on Japanese original culture and system. As Pilot is born in US, there was a language "wall" for Japanese users. However, Mr.Tatsuya Yamada made J-OS, which allows us to handle Japanese in Pilot, and Pilot became a top level PDA in its price and performace. For us Japanese, PDA should have Japanese oriented informations, e.g. Japanese Holidays or Postal prices. For this reason, I intended to let Pilot have the degital Japanese information, which will overcome against PDAs made in Japan. As J-Info is a strategic application to attract Japanese who are thinking to buy new PDAs, I do not charge for it and it shows Japanese characters and needs J-OS. 1. MenuBar Clock: User can select date/time by tapping the display. There are several display forms from time setting. 2. Japanese Holiday List 3. Postal price List 4. Age calculation: Input your birthday, and you can see its day of week, the days up to today and so on. 5. World Clock I will add functions in the future. This manual and all accompanying files may be distributed freely, provided that: 1. Neither text nor any other file is modified in any way. No file may be omitted nor added in the distribution. 2. No money may be charged for the program nor for any accompanying files, other than the usual downloading time fees charged by commercial BBSes and online services. 3. I want to know where my application will be distributed. Please notify me if it will be included in printed matter, floppy, or CD-ROM before its publication. No matter what the circumstance, I would strongly appreciate a copy of whatever collection in which it is included. v.0.5 (97/01/05) - added World Clock - Fixed several bugs v.0.4 (97/01/02) - Initial verion This is a freeware (free of charge) but not PDA. The author will not take responsibility for any damage or loss that occurs using this program. If you have any bug-reports or improvements you would like to see, please send them to me.
