   A great vocabulary is a handy thing to have, and WORD-UP! can 
help you increase or develop yours-whatever your lexicon level.  
Compare your score with a friend's or your spouse's, but be 
prepared to gloat or to "eat your words." 

  A challenging word list
  A "cheat sentence" feature that works like a hint
  A built-in mystery word puzzle

   In Word Up, you are asked to define 20 words. Press the letter 
that corresponds to the answer you think is the correct one. If 
you miss a word, the quiz continues and you'll have a chance to 
define that word later. After each correct answer, you may guess 
a letter in a Mystery Word (each dash represents a letter). The 
definition of the Mystery Word is given. If you correctly guess a 
letter, it will be added to the word and you may choose to guess 
the Mystery Word. If you give an incorrect letter or guess, you 
return to the quiz. 

   CHEAT - When you are unsure of an answer, you may opt to 
"cheat" by pressing F2. You will then see a sample sentence that 
uses the word. 

   SCORING - You'll receive 100 points per unassisted correct 
answer and 50 points per assisted correct answer (F2-Cheat). 
Those scores double after you've correctly guessed the Mystery 
Word. 

   PROMPT BOX - The box at the bottom of the main screen contains 
prompts that will lead you through the quiz.
