   What a difference twenty years makes: thirty-five year-old account executives
drive their BMWs to work with the Jefferson Airplane blasting from the speakers.
Mothers pack their kids off to school to the strains of "Purple Haze."  Scratch
a corporate head and you're likely to find a Dead Head underneath.

   Yesterday's flower children are today's yuppies.  And rock and roll, once the
cutting edge of social rebellion, has since become an established institution
itself.

   Gary Hayman's quiz program tests your knowledge of rock history.  The format
is simple: the program asks you to identify the artist(s) who released a
particular album or single.  It's a tough quiz, however: ROCK AND ROLL covers
over thirty years of rock history -- everything from Bo Diddley and Elvis to
John Cougar Mellencamp and Van Halen.

   If you get stumped, don't worry: ROCK AND ROLL will challenge all but the
most dedicated rockers.  Instead, we hope that Gary's program will encourage you
to learn more about the artists whose music helped shape millions of lives,
maybe even your own.
