Daniel Willems 2618 N.E. 195th Street, Apt. A-6 Seattle, WA 98155 Phone: (206) 363-7379 I was born in St. Mary's Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, within spitting distance of the Mississippi, and have done almost nothing of consequence since. For the benefit of those who like to see such things in print (namely my mother), I will continue. My family moved to Steilicoomb, Washington (the prison island), when I was two. I wasn't a convicted felon at that innocent age; my father was a counselor in the prison. We moved to Seattle when he became a Probation and Parole Officer. After high school, I fled to Moscow, Idaho, where the winters are cold and the prople are warm. I shared this adventure with Maaike Brown and her sister, Shanna. We never would have survived if not for the hospitality of the folks of the Palouse Empire Science Fiction Association (PESFA). Maaike and I parted amicably after a time. At a Norwescon, I met Sharon Kingsford, my S.O., and we've been inseparable ever since. We migrated with the job market -- first to seattle, then to Austin, Texas (a fine town whose only real flaw is having too many Texans), then back to Seattle. I've worked for various odd companies, two fo the oddest being Steve Jackson Games (publishers of board games such as Car Wars, GURPS, etc.) and Fantagraphics Books (publishers of comic books such as LOVE & ROCKETS and HATE). I graduated from Shoreline Community College with an Associate Arts degree and an AAS in graphic Design, and am using my skills to work as a freelance graphics designer and illustrator, but only to support my true passion, office clerical work. Sharon graduated with an AAS in marketing (with disgustingly good grades) and is currently a corporate reporter for Dun & Bradstreet. We are both learning to speak Bahasa Indonesian, and plan to Indonesia next year to teach English for a living. Our eventual goal is to establish an import/export business to sell Indonesian witches and demons via mail order. This is assuming that we don't die horribly from malaria, earthquake, volcanic eruption, getting possessed by the spirit from a Balinese Rangda mask, or simply melt away in the heat. We can hardly wait!
