Vicki Visconti Tilley P.O. Box 1475 Silver City, NM 88062 (505) 388-4954 Fantasy artist Vicki Visconti Tilley was born in Gallup, NM, in 1956 and has painted and drawn ever since she can ever remember. For the last eleven years, this award-winning artist has been involved in many facets of the art field including fine art, illustration, designing and writing for individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations nationwide. Visconti Tilley was featured on KGGM 13 TV, Albuquerque, NM in 1992. She is also a member of ASFA (Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists) and is currently represented by two galleries: Jubilation and Gallery V in Silver City, NM. Several retail stores in the Southwest sell her limited-edition prints and cards. Visconti Tilley has owned her own gallery/studio (Maiden Silver Art) since 1991. Believing you can always learn more, training is ongoing. Visconti Tilley is a 1986 graduate of Al Collins Graphic School of Design, Phoenix, AZ. She has also attended WNMU (Silver City, NM) for coursework in life drawing, painting and lithography, and completed an entrepreneur class with the SBA. Workshops have been with noted artists; Sandra Angelo, Lowell Spears, Pomm and Ann James Massey. Since 1994, Visconti Tilley has shown her work at Science Fiction and Fantasy Conventions, a.k.a. "cons." In July of 1995, her work will be seen at NASFiC in Atlanta, GA, where she will be featured as a emerging artist. Next year (1996), her work can be seen at WesterCon, at El Paso, TX and at the WorldCon in Los Angeles, CA, as well as other regional cons. Recent accomplishments in 1995 include having a fantasy painting included in CREATIVE COLORED PENCIL...THE STEP BY STEP GUIDE by Vera Curnow (Rockport Publishers) and having an article published in TO THE POINT, a newsletter for the Colored Pencil Society of America, entitled "Markets For Fantasy Art," as well as a recent award at AmigoCon's Art Show. In the not too distant future, expect to see Visconti Tilley's work in magazines, books, and fantasy cards, as she has some prospects in the works with various publishers.
