I moved 32 times before I was even school age and I began school in France. By the time my father retired and we settled in Georgia, I was quite ready to stay put for a while. I ttok my Bachelor's Degree in Art at LaGrange College in Georgia and started work in retail advertising. Drawing opportunities covered the gamut from lawn mowers to evening dresses. A nearly 13-year stint in Civil Service as an illustrator and designer followed, where work included designing a poster and program for the Infantry School Centennial Celebration, producing a series of paintings used in an Army-wide traveling exhibit, and researching poisonous snakes for art for a jungle manual. Now back in the private sector at an offset lithography printing firm, I've begun to draw and design, on the Macintosh computer, everything from catalogs to greeting cards. Over the years, I've had several paintings and one-of-a-kind carved and jointed wooden dolls and puppets in various shows as the juried Gardens Arts Festival at Calloway Gardens, the Piedmont Crafts Exhibit of the Mint Museum and the Bradley Museum in Columbus, Georgia. My personal interests and tastes have run to fantasy, science fiction, and children's literature from early childhood when I participated in the Jamaica Arts Festival in New York with an illustration for "The Little Mermaid." I enjoyed designing and executing posters and direct mailers for a Children's Theater for productions of "Androcles and the Lion" and Anderson's "The Snow Queen." For a local group, I also designed and fabricated hand puppets for productions of "Peter and the Wolf" and "Hansel and Gretel." I've been active iluustrating in fan publishing for over sisteen years and have done some illustration in DUNGEON MAGAZINE for TSR.
