Weatherboard from Eternit Building Materials is a low-maintenance fibre cement alternative to timber clapboard. Textured to give the natural appearance of sawn cedar, it looks so much like the real thing, its difficult to spot the difference even close up.
The timber-like texture of the fibre cement makes it more authentic than PVCu substitutes and as well as being available pre-painted or natural for home painting, it can be stained just like wood.
Pre-painted colours include white, black, natural and any BS colour.
Rot and vermin resistant, Weatherboard withstands the harshest weather conditions and is highly fire resistant. More importantly it can be installed easily by DIY-ers using conventional hand or power tools with hardened tips or cutting edges. (Remember to use safety glasses and a dusk mask.)
