Installation:

Before installation of the Billiard v.2.4 you should obligatory delete the Billiard v.1.x - v.2.x.

Files can be installed by using the Desktop S/W or just any other application.

  1. For Palm OS 3.0, 3.1, 3.3, 3.5 (B/W) – Billiard_Black.prc
  2. For Palm OS 3.5 (Color) – Billiard_Color.prc

Start Page. 

You may play against Palm or with yourself or with another man.
You may play with man on another Palm via IR port.
You may enter you names by touching “Name1” and “Name2”
.
You may select “Table Speed (1-10)” and “Rail Rebound (1-5)”, Balls and Pockets.

Options.
Sound - Enable/Disable sound effects.
Step Mode - is a step by step replay mode .
Replay Speed - for change speed of replay.
Trace - Enable/Disable path of cue ball (for training).
Trace depend by hit power of cue.
Cloth Color - color of table covering.

Play The Game:

The name of the player who is going to start the game is black high-lighted.

In order to start the game it is necessary:

1. With the help of Stylus - to select the position of cue by touching any point of billiard table and you can move the cue more smoothly without taking away the stylus from the screen. For more precise correction position of cue you may use the following correction buttons:
Before first hit and after each foul, you may place cue ball at any point of the field's first quarter, by touching cue ball and drag its at any free position without taking away the stylus from the screen.

 2. To select the stroke power.

The stroke power is graduated from 0 up to 100. The digital value and graphic image of the stroke power are displayed in the two neighboring windows. You may select the strength of the stroke by touching the power indicator itself and moving the stylus along the indicator more smoothly. When touching the digit indicator you can select the 100% power. .For more precise correction you may use two buttons with up and down symbols located to the right of power indicator.

3. You may set spin on the cue ball (English) by changing the position of the cue tip on the ball by indicating the point on the ball (with the help of stylus) and without taking away the stylus you can move the point smoothly to another place.

4. You may change the cue elevation angle by touching this area or without taking away the stylus you can do the same more smoothly.

5. For hitting the ball press the “GO!” button

 - any time during the game you may replay last shot.

POOL 8-BALL

Note: After FOUL the incoming player may drag the cue ball anywhere on the table (with help of stylus).

POOL 9-BALL

This game is based on the original BCA Rules : http://www.bca-pool.com

Peculiarities of this game:

  - Push out , - Lowest-numbered object ball on the table.

  - For changing the player`s turn 

Note: After FOUL the incoming player may drag the cue ball anywhere on the table (with help of stylus).

PYRAMID:

Objective of the game - to score eight balls as the first.
Balls to be used - while playing you can use 16 balls, each of them can be considered to be a cue ball or an object one.
Positioning the balls - 15 object balls are positioned in the form of a pyramid with the top directed to the rear index.
Initial stroke - the initial stroke is made by hand "from home".

Game process - you can play any object ball or a cue ball. It is not required to announce an order. In case if the balls were hit in a proper way you can be given points for all balls brought to the pockets.

Balls setting - all balls hit or brought to the pockets in a improper way (without touching the other balls) as well as penalty balls should be put close to the middle of the rear edge. If this place is occupied the ball should be put at the short edge as close as possible to the preventing ball.

Penalties for violation of the game rules - for breaking the game rules the player is penalized. The penalty is one ball. If by this moment the player has no scored balls the penalty is imposed after the first ball has been scored.

In order to start the game it is necessary with the help of Stylus by single pressing – to select the ball intended for a stroke.

BILLIARD THEORY

Collisions between balls.
After collision of balls, object ball (red) rebounds by the line which connect the centers of the balls at the moment of contacting (blue line).
After collision cue ball rebounds perpendicularly to the line which connects the centers of the balls at the moment of contacting and then for Topspin shot (Follow) it moves forward, for Backspin shot (Draw) it moves back.

Cushions.
For center ball hit the rebound angle of cushion is approximately equal to the strike angle. After Right English hit (Right side spin) cue ball moves right. After Left English hit (Left side spin) cue ball moves left. Backspin shot (Draw) decrease rebound angle of cushion. Topspin shot (Follow) increase rebound angle.

Change the angle of cue elevation allows you to curve path of cue ball
(the masse’ shot).

 

Attention! In the IrDA mode the "Auto off after ..." function is blocked. After the game is completed in this mode it is necessary to switch off your Palm-device.
