Options

Select from the available options in Options main menu to suit your favoured settings:

  • SDI or MDI

    Default is Multi-Document-Interface allowing you to open many document windows during a work session. If Single-Document-Interface is opted, only a single window; the newly opened document supersedes the previous on the screen (see Windows Area).

  • Watch RAM memory level

    • Do not monitor
    • Monitor if free RAM below 10 mb
    • Monitor if free RAM below 20 mb
    • Monitor if free RAM below 30 mb
    • Monitor if free RAM below 40 mb


  • Remind color setting if not at 32-bit

  • Fit-in even if picture is smaller when Fit-In set in View Mode

    (see View Mode v Paint Mode in Size & Resize).

  • Add back EXIF (if any) when Save JPG

    (Note: If the original image size has been changed, then the original EXIF data is no longer applicable, hence will not be added back).

  • Show pixel RGB color value when Fill tool or Replace Color tool is selected
    The RGB value of the pixel under mouse pointer will be displayed as a tooltip text.

  • Options for Current Session Only

    • Use alternative region marquee
      When you have a dark greyish image in current use. (see Line, Rectangle, Oval and Region in Toolbox).

    • Suspend canvas resize by edge dragging

    • Suspend region resize by edge dragging
      When the region drawn is tiny and you want to drag to move it.

    • Show [x, y] axis lines
      Applicable only when Paint / Erase / Oval / Filled Oval / Region / Oval Region tool selected.
Your chosen settings will be honoured with immediate effect and in subsequent program runs. Exceptions: (i) "Remind color setting if not at 32-bit" will take effect only in subsenquent program runs. (ii) Change of "Use alternative region marquee" will not be allowed while there is a region currently. (iii) Options for Current Session Only will be reset to default on next program start.
