Its main goal is to improove the gaming environment through suggestions to the software developers from the users, in an effort to provide the best possible on-line entertainment. Promoting the door games, cooperation and teamwork is also our intent. PGNet is solely formed of bulletin board systems whose main aim is to cater to gamers, commonly refered to as gaming boards. All PGNet members are unpaid volunteers and no personal financial gains or profits are to be made from the use of this network by any decission-making official. PGNet is not a common carrier, or a public network. Founder - PGNet Founder is and will be Radu Murgescu, Jr. the designer of the network. This position is purely informative. No election is to be held for this position. 2. President - PGNet President is appointed by the founder. The presidency is a ceremonial function, the president serving as the outmost spokesperson of PGNet. He holds no decission-making powers other than the power to veto all the other lower positions on any decission involving a shift in the network goals or changes in its policies. If the founder can not be reached in a resonable amount of time, to be decided by the International Moderator, the Outgoing president should appoint its successor. The office of the president is not subject to elections or time-limits. 3. Co-founders - PGNet Co-founders are and will be the following, in alphabetical order : John Harrison, Rich Hosking, Kris Kramer, Keven Lee Mehaffy, James Sparks, Mark Spitzfaden, Danny Pendergrass. They helped with the integration of the new network through valuable advise. These positions are purely informative. No elections are to be held for these positions. Note : All of the above positions are ceremonial. The highest decission- making position within PGNet is that of the INC - see below. 4. International Net Coordinator ùINC - PGNet INC is elected by a majority of votes of all regional, host and area coordinators (one vote each) and the international council ( one vote total ). The president has the power to reject the selection, in which case new elections will be held in no earlier than one month, but no later than 3 months with the winner assuming the position. The INC is responsible for day-to-day operations and has the highest decission-making authority within the Network ( except for the mentioned exclussions ). It has the power to reject, modify or alter all the decissions taken at any lower levels. This position is subject to elections every two years, on Nov. 1st and a Vote of Confidence can be requested by 3/5 of the regional coordinators. INC has the important mission to promote PGNet and aim to take PGNet to a higher state than in previous administrations. The INC is encouraged to appoint a Cabinet within a month from the election. The INC heads the executive branch of PGNet. Assistant International Net Coordinator ù AINC - PGNet AINC is appointed by the INC. The AINC is the 2nd in command of the executive branch of PGNet. 5. International Moderator ù IM - PGNet IM is appointed by the president, and entrusted with the power to decide the fate of any upcoming conflict or election, and interpret the policy. The office of the IM is not subject to elections or time-limits. The IM head the judiciary branch of PGNet. 6. INC Cabinet ù INCC - is appointed by the INC, who has the power to appoint and dismiss any member. The INCC's main mission is to assist the INC as directed. INCC members have the power entrusted in them by the INC and should act and be respected as the INC's ambassadors in their respective fields. 3 7. Regional Net Coordinator ù RNC - PGNet RNC is elected by a majority of votes of all host and area coordinators ( one vote each ). The International Net Coordinator has the power to reject the selection, in which case new elections will be held in no earlier than one month, but no later than 3 months with the winner assuming the position. The RNC is responsible for day-to-day operations of the region. It has the power to reject, modify or alter all the decissions taken at any lower levels. This position is subject to elections every year, on May. 1st and a Vote of Confidence can be requested by 3/5 of the host coordinators. the RNC is encouraged to appoint a Cabinet within a month from the election. The RNC reports to the INC. 8. International Council ù IC - PGNet IC contains of all founders plus one member appointed by each regional coordinator and one appointed by the coordinator. The founders are permanent members of the council while the others are dismissed upon another appointment from their respective areas. IC is the legislative branch of PGNet. 9. RNC Cabinet ù RNCC - is appointed by the RNC, who has the power to appoint and dismiss any member. The RNCC's main mission is to assist the RNC as directed. RNCC members have the power entrusted in them by the RNC and should act and be respected as the RNC's ambassadors in their respective fields. 10. Host Net Coordinator ùHNC - PGNet HNC is elected by a majority of votes from all members in the respective net and their area coordinators. The HNC is responsible for day-to-day operations of the host. He has the power to reject, modify or alter all the decissions taken at any lower levels. This position is subject to elections every year, on Aug. 1st and a Vote of Confidence can be requested by 3/5 of the area coordinators The HNC is encouraged to appoint a Cabinet within a month from the election. The HNC reports to the RNC. 11. Regional Moderator ù RM - PGNet RM is appointed by the IM, and entrusted with the power to decide the fate of any upcoming conflict or election, and interpret the policy. The office of the IM is not subject to elections or time-limits. The RM reports to the IM. 12. HNC Cabinet ù HNCC - is appointed by the HNC, who has the power to appoint and dismiss any member. The HNCC's main mission is to assist the HNC as directed. HNCC members have the power entrusted in them by the HNC and should act and be respected as the HNC's ambassadors in their respective fields. 13. Area Coordinator ùAC - PGNet AC is apointed by the Host Net Coordinator with the aprooval of the Regional Net Coordinator. The AC is responsible for day-to-day operations of the area. The AC is appointed by the HNC, whom he/she reports to. 14. Honorary members ù HM - HMs do not have to be part of PGNet, but through their effort they have promoted PGNet and gaming and have benefited the gaming world. HMs are recognized by the INC or the president. HMs do not have the right to vote in any official elections. 15. Members - Members are the Gaming BBS' that were admited in the organization by the INC, and have as the main purpose to promote the door games and other selected types of on-line entertainment through team work with the other gaming boards. The Members are the reason PGNet was formed and are they are of the outmost importance to the Network. 4 16. Associate members ù AM - AMs do not have to be part of PGNet, but through their effort they have promoted PGNet and gaming and have benefited the gaming world. AMs are recognized by the RNC or the HNC. AMs do not have the right to vote in any official elections. 17. Points can not vote in any elections and are sponsored by a member who takes full responsability for their action. All points are encouraged to apply for a membership. 18. Power Gamers ù PG - Power Gamers are users who spend all their available possible time playing games, on-line games and enjoy all the other types of on-line entertainment. PGNet caters to these users and will cease to exist upon their self-destruction. 19. Users are encourage to play games and use the echoes.
