Grabber is a program designed to collect files attached to USENET news articles. It will automatically handle single or multipart articles. It has support for uuencoded or MIME/base64 attached objects. The user can set complex citerias and filters to reduce the amount of unwanted objects (spam). Downloads can be automatically prioritised based on criteria. Grabber can interact with Dial Up netwroking to dial up and hang up your internet connection as required. It can be run in a completely unattended mode to allow articles to be processed overnight when the load is less. Grabber now includes an incorporated image and text browser which can be used both to view downloaded images, but to easily add filter criteria to exclude spammers. What's new in 2.0? Grabber 2.0 adds new enhancements in the quest to reduce the amount of spam that has to be downloaded - -> Image thumbnails are shown during download. -> Interface has been completely rewritten to be more conventional. -> Memory usage has been reduced. -> Context menus (right click) can be used to help perform tasks 4.
