********************************************************************* FARMS.ZIP "Farmstuff" - A collection of SEE04 custom library objects Stuff you might need to build a farm. Designed and constructed by: Bryant Arnett <70303,666> ********************************************************************* This collection contains macros for placing 11 new library objects into your own scenery files using SEE04 (the Scenery Enhancement Editor by Laemming Wheeler). Each object is actually constructed from several smaller objects, and the macros are used to "put them all together". You can view all of the objects by copying the files FARMSTUF.SC1 and FARMSTUF.MOD into your Flight Simulator directory. Start up Flight Simulator and load the mode called "FarmStuff Library Objects". This will place you in Slew mode at a nice viewing location. You will need to pan around to see everything. You should go to the Display Control menu and set Image Complexity to "Complex" before attempting to view this scenery (in other words, type: 2, E, 2, ). ********************************************************************* The objects are: BARN.MAC An old fashioned barn raising BIGBARN.MAC A bigger barn, suitable for flying through CORRAL.MAC A 40 x 80 foot fenced area COW1.MAC Cow, grazing COW2.MAC Cow, looking up FENCE1.MAC 500 ft. wooden fence FENCE2.MAC 1000 ft. barbed wire fence HORSE1.MAC A trotting horse SOPWITH.MAC Sopwith Camel, grounded for repairs TRACTOR.MAC Build a tractor WINMILL.MAC Erect a windmill To use these scenery objects, first copy all of the above mentioned macros into your SEE4 directory, then copy all of the files with the extension *.SC0 into either your SEE4 directory or the directory where you keep your other library objects. All you need to do in order to place an object into your scenery is first decide the location and desired heading, then call up the macro. For example, if you wish to put a cow grazing in Central Park, you would enter the following lines into your DAT file: NORTH, 17147.2095 EAST, 21103.8880 HDG, 45 MACRO, cow1.mac You can also use the RELATIVE command to designate the desired location of the object. If you want to place a barn a hundred feet South of your first runway, you would enter the following lines: FIND, EXACT, 6, 1 LOCATE RELATIVE, 180, 100 FT HDG, 92 MACRO, barn.mac ********************************************************************* NOTES: In order for the heading to work correctly, you should enter the value for FSNORTH into your DAT file before placing these commands (take a look at FSNORTH.TUT which came with SEE04). At certain headings, the objects will not appear to be put together quite right. I have not been able to determine the cause of this phenomenon, but take a close look at the object after you have placed it, and if it seems "out of whack" try changing the heading by one or two degrees. All of the objects can be custom colored, but you will have to edit the macro file yourself in order to do so. All objects have day, dusk, and night coloring. Most of the individual elements that make up the objects are of no real use by themselves with the exception of the following: FENCE1.SC0 A forty foot stretch of wooden fence FENCE2.SC0 A hundred foot stretch of barbed wire fence The FENCE1, FENCE2 and CORRAL macros are really just examples of various ways to piece together these individual fence sections. Enjoy using these objects! Look for more "SEEstuff" collections to be released soon! ********************************************************************* All library objects were created with: SEE04 - Scenery Enhancement Editor by Laemming Wheeler Distributed by TekMate All objects, Copyright 1992 by Bryant Arnett *********************************************************************
