  Captain Riker graduated from the Starfleet Academy in record time.
  Only James Kirk did so faster.  Offered numerous command positions
  aboard other vessels, Captain Riker has declined all of them so that
  he can remain aboard the Enterprise.

  Previous experience denotes Captain Riker's enthusiasm for science
  and knowledge.  Almost as curious as Mr. Data, Riker has been known
  to risk his life in order to learn. Prior commisions include the
  U.S.S. Intrepid and U.S.S. Yorktown.

  Almost always leads the away team, Captain Riker is the perfect
  compliment to Captain Picard's gruf, coarse leadership style.  Riker
  performs best when under pressure.
