FRANKFURT / MAIN, GERMANY SCENERY FOR FS4 SIMULATOR AND AIRCRAFT & SCENERY
DESIGNER. Version 1.0


This is the documentation for the scenery files:

        * FRA-1-WE.SC1
        * FRA-1-WE.DY1
        * FRA-1-WE.MOD
        * FRA-1-WE.TXT (this file)

In order to use the scenery files you will need:

        * Flight Simulator 4
        * Aircraft & Scenery Designer
        * European Scenery disk
        * (A detailed map covering Frankfurt area)
        * (Jeppesen Frankfurt/Main, Germany Area Chart)
        * (Jeppesen Frankfurt/Main, Germany Airport Chart)



These scenery files contain:
 
       * Nav aids (All important VOR's and NDB's of Jeppesen
         Frankfurt/Main Area Chart)
       * detailed airport layout of Rhein-Main International Airport
         including U.S. Air Force Base 
       * ILS, control towers, airport buildings, hangars, some dynamic
         scenery  
       * Boats cruising on the river Main and other scenery objects crucial
         for aerial navigation will be added later.

Airports and NAV aids are based on data from "Frankfurt/Main, Ger. Area" and "Airport" maps from Jeppesen.

The size of FRA-1-WE.SC1 is about 5984 bytes and the size of FRA-1-WE.DY1
is about 9632 bytes.

Due to mismatches of location/FS coordinates in the European scenery file,
several attempts were necessary to achieve maximum accuracy.  Using the 
default NAV aids and relative bearings for locating scenery spots appeared 
to be the most appropriate method and has therefor been applied throughout.
