How do I make Amoniak happy?

Have you talked to the painter on the next screen (armor room) yet?

You should know that Amoniak likes ladybugs, and you should learn where to
put them so that he'll eat them.

The catch is that there aren't any ladybugs anywhere in this episode.  You
need to create some fake ladybugs to fool Amoniak into eating them.

It first might help to start with another insect, one like a ladybug.

Try a cockroach.  See an earlier set of hints if you need more help getting
it.

A ladybug differs from a roach in several ways.  One, a ladybug is a
different color from a roach.  And two, it is has black spots.

You can paint the roach red.

You'll need to get some paint from the can on the "Armor" screen.

And to paint, you'll need a brush.  Look for something flexible on that
screen.

Get a feather from the clouds on "Armor" (F).

Then dip the feather in the paint can to make a brush (F).

To paint the roach, use it on the hole, and then paint it while it's still
standing still (F).

Now you'll need something black to spot the "roach".

Something that might even spice up the ladybug.

Use the pepper on the roach (F).  Make sure it's painted first.
