The following files should be unzipped from NEASGB.ZIP SEAPLANE.MOD Mod for FS4 SEAPLANE.SC1 Static scenerey SEAPLANE.DY1 Dynamic scenery SEAPLANE.TXT Text file you are reading now VETTE.INF Info on CORVETTE.BBS These files should be loaded in your Flight Simulator directory. You can delete the txt and inf files as these are not needed to run the mod. Also you can change planes in your FS setup if you don't have a floatplane to fly. If you keep crash recovery off you can land the plane on water. This is my first attempt at designing scenery for Flight Sim. There will be an update to this in a few weeks with a lot more scenery. The Las Vegas Strip will be more enhanced and alot more detail, but of course it will require more memory to run, so i am releasing this "stock memory" edition for those with limited memory. Future editions will have mote airports, including Nellis AFB. ************************* --- VOR ---- McCarren.. 116.9 --- ATIS --- McCarren.. 132.4 ************************ When enetering the MOD keep the heading you are on. This is approximately 290.. You can follow the air traffic to McCarren, but watch out for close flying 767's. Once past Lake Mead (upper, middle and lower basin) you will have to pass over Sunrise Mountain. This is the last mountain before you get to the Las Vegas area. Also know as The Meadows. If you stay at the altitude you enter the mod at (app. 7000 MSL) you'll get few details, but if you drop down to 2000 MSL you'll get a lot more detail, but you'll have to fly through the canyon between the upper and lower basins of Lake Mead. After entering the lower basin, you should see Sandy Beach where I am with my boat on weekends 75% of the time. Usually they'll be some float planes landing in the cove which makes for some interesting video. Sandy Beach is almost directly under the high altitude approach from the east for McCarren. The last part of Lake Mead you'll pass over is the Las Vegas Wash Marina, which is used for visual reference by some pilots flying VFR. Usually ultra- lights can be seen flying low and slow around this area, as theres a small ultralight field in the mountains. The mountains can make for some pretty hairy flying in an ultralight with the turbulence even if there is no winds. Just the thermals can make you pretty squirrelly. I hope you enjoy the scenery mod and look forward to more. The latest scenery updates for the Las Vegas area can be found on my bbs.....
