When
will ZipAddress Ship?
ZipAddress
is due to ship in the fourth week of September 1997 -
immediately after the launch in Virginia, USA.
What
are the System Requirements for ZipAddress?
ZipAddress
requires Windows 95 or Windows NT, with a minimum of
8Mb RAM (Windows 95) or 16Mb RAM (Windows NT) -
though we recommend double these minima.
ZipAddress
is supplied on one CD-Rom covering the whole USA. The
ZipAddress search engine is so fast that you can
easily use it from the CD-Rom - in which case, about
5Mb hard disk space is required for installation.
Installing the whole ZipAddress data onto a hard
(fixed) disk drive requires about 500Mb.
Can I
use ZipAddress on a Network?
ZipAddress
can be installed and used across a LAN - or even a
WAN. Remember though, that the ZipAddress
License
agreement requires you to have a license for each
computer that will access ZipAddress. Network license
packs are available - and for larger organizations,
company licenses allow unlimited use within one
company or organisation.
Can I
Interface other Applications with ZipAddress?
Yes -
this is a fundamental strength of the ZipAddress
design. At shipping, you can access ZipAddress data
via simple DLL function calls or via DDE - or
ZipAddress can easily pass data to your applications
in Insert mode - with a powerful keystroke macro
language - and via the Windows clipboard.
Do
you supply sample source code?
Yes - At
shipping, we'll supply full API information and
sample source code for Visual Basic, Access, Delphi
and C. Others will follow as they become available.
