WAR:Bankruptcy of Moral Character Bob Jones Sr. used to say (1949-1953), "The trouble with this country, basically, is a bankruptcy of moral character." I am sure he was right. To illustrate this he would show how the "old time" educational philosophy contrasted with the "new time" educational philosophy. What Bob Jones Sr. was trying to get across was that, Christian or not, an educational philosophy that assumed the child was unruly and self-centered and should therefore be corrected, disciplined, and forced to do things that he didn't want to do, was always superior to any educational philosophy that assumed the child was an angel and could only be hindered by rules and regulations, and "frustrated" from becoming a genius. With the switch in philosophy (1920-1940) the SWITCH disappeared from the educational system, and it became the most dangerous environment in America (1964-1984), literally. You would be safer in a coal mine or a bomb plant than in a big city high school. My theory is that the news media controls the MINDS of the NEA and the congressmen as well as the District Court and Supreme Court judges. It does this because it has power to make or break any individual or any establishment; in some cases, power to break the social and economic structure of a whole state or even a section of the United States. It is a news media "religious crusade" that doubles the crime rate overnight and destroys every hindrance and restriction to immorality and licentiousness in less than a week. It is this constant, eternal MEDDLING with everyone's affairs night and day that prevents anyone in America from developing character. I will show you what I mean. I am going to take TEN LESSONS IN CHARACTER that every sane parent in America would like to teach to their sons and daughters and show how not one child involved would have the chance of a snowball in hell at developing ANY character qualities if they stopped to look at a newspaper or a television set. 1. Honesty is the best policy: "Go on, son, admit that you stole that watermelon (or apple, or whatever). Take your punishment like a man; don't lie about it." News media: NATIONAL HOLIDAY for M.L. King, called by the FBI "the most notorious LIAR in America." 2. Don't be wasteful: "Turn off the lights when you are not using them, and keep the central air conditioning above 70 degrees in the summer. It is wrong to waste money." News media: the American military left the following equipment in Vietnam when they evacuated: forty helicopters, fourteen bombers, twenty-five tanks, 155 trucks, five hundred machine guns, two thousand rifles, five hundred thousand rounds of ammunition, forty-five boats, three hundred artillery pieces, and nine million dollars worth of other supplies; all were in serviceable condition. The total loss was fifteen million dollars, not counting the cost of the war, which cost an average of one hundred and twenty thousand dollars to kill ONE MAN. 3. Don't cut classes at school: "Don't you realize that education is the most important thing in life?" News media: Michael Jackson's yearly income was fourteen million dollars; he never went to any college--neither did Madonna. Students at Michigan State University are known for drinking heavily; AIDS is more frequently found on college campuses than anywhere outside of the "ghetto." Social promotions will be given to all black students who can't pass the classes in middle school. No IQ tests are required to determine intelligence. 4. Learn to save your money: "Put it in your piggy bank, and get used to putting away savings for a rainy day." News media: banks face disaster; government taking them over. Home Savings and Loans bankrupt: YOU HAVE TO PAY DOUBLE. Franklin National Bank of New York fails. Largest banks in USA are in serious trouble; the value of the dollar is now seventeen cents. 1929--all savings in the banks completely wiped out. 5. America is a great country and deserves your tax support: "Pay taxes and never complain." News media: government grant goes to artist to picture Christ submerged in urine. Government grant gives scientists five hundred thousand dollars to investigate the mating habits of the sea urchin in the Coral Sea. House votes forty million of the taxpayer's money to rebuild Catholic cathedrals in the Philippines; an additional forty- five million for the Catholic church in Poland. Charles Manson lives in an air-conditioned cell with his own television; taxpayer's bill is twenty thousand dollars a year. Senator Javits paid six thousand dollars in taxes on a ninety thousand dollar income. M.L. King Jr. paid a ten thousand dollar income tax while complaining about still being in "slavery." 6. If you want to be an author, study English and work and sacrifice as you study: "It takes dedication to be an author; it is a lifetime labor to get one best-seller published." News media: murderer Bundy is offered a million dollars for his autobiography; Nixon receives a hundred thousand dollar advance to write his memoirs; Steven Weeds's book on Patty Hearst is a top best- seller. 7. In this great democracy, government is of the people, by the people, and for the people: "Stand up for your country, and be proud of America!" News media: five ecologists stop the building of an oil line. Twenty protestors shut down a nuclear power plant. Forced school busing is done at bayonet point in Virginia. Forced racemixing in Mississippi and Arkansas at bayonet point. District Court judge raises property taxes by himself. Income taxes continue without any vote taken on them. Government demands end of gold standard (1933) and silver standard (1961), and enforces it without permission, giving people paper for both revenues. 8. Live within your income: "Never get indebted to anyone." News media: FDR devalues the currency, starting a national debt that goes to three trillion dollars under Carter, Kennedy, Rockefeller, Johnson, and Reagan. Detroit and New York are bankrupt due to debt. The USA is in debt to the international bankers. Mexico cannot pay her debts. Russia defaults on fourteen billion dollars it owes the USA. Buffalo is broke. Legislatures meet to "tap new source of revenue" to pay off Michigan's fifty-five million dollar default. 8. It is wrong to steal: "Don't ever take anything that isn't yours." News media: so-and-so takes so and-so's wife; so and-so takes so-and- so's husband. Black rioters in Detroit and Watts steal five million dollars worth of television sets. Russia takes Afghanistan; China takes Tibet; Cuba takes Honduras; the US government taxes the churches for their employees after taking prayer and the Bible out of the schools. 9. Stop fighting: "Fighting doesn't settle anything; learn how to get along." News media: war in Lebanon; war in Cambodia; war in Pakistan; war on Crete; war in Nicaragua; war in Ireland; war in Morocco; war in Algeria; slaughter in Beirut; Cubans go to Angola to kill for Castro; Syria threatens war. 10. The key to success is work: "Do your duty, and work hard, and you will always come out on top." News media: striking Eastern employees receive four hundred dollars a week while off work. Unemployment compensation payments are higher than the salary of a job; welfare mother with food stamps and no job living in a plush apartment that costs seven hundred dollars a month. The highest paid men in 1989 were drug distributors. Average income of non-working blacks in Detroit or Washington, DC, is twice as high as average income of a forty hour a week worker in St. Charles, Virginia, or Haralan, Kentucky. Mother wins fourteen million dollars in damage suit charging that a truck didn't get out of its own lane when her son crossed the lane to hit it head on. A queer in California is awarded four million dollars for being "emotionally upset." Any teenaged kid can spend two hours a day watching television and know that honesty, truth, hard work, loyalty, patriotism, dependability, and discipline don't "pay off" any better than drunkenness, laziness, moral filth, dishonesty, crime, lying, stealing, or sex perversion. Moral character at the end of the church age is a JOKE as far as 90% of the American population is concerned. Except for a few isolated places where a man or woman can beat the living fire out of their kid without going to jail over it, or a place where the kid has to work in order to stay alive, the general picture is absolute moral ruin. The government and the press (see our articles on the decisions of the Federal courts) are present to encourage crime, mediocrity, and dependency on Welfare and Socialism, and they both promote the idea (and demonstrate it) that ANYONE can get away with ANYTHING under certain conditions (situation ethics), and that any type of degeneracy (a "lifestyle") is permissible. A man or woman today who is successful in instilling MORAL CHARACTER into a "youngster" should be awarded the Nobel Maximum Achievement Prize and the Croix de Guerre. He will do so in the face of a hostile government, a vicious news media, a degenerate school system, and an apostate church system. More power to you, if you can do it!
