BBB:The founders of big Universities speak out

   Harvard's "Rules and Precepts" (1646): "Every one shall
consider the main end of his life and studies to know God and Jesus
Christ which is eternal life."

   Timothy Dwight, President of Yale (1814): "Christ is the only, the
true, the living way of access to God."

   Columbia University (1754): "The chief thing that is aimed at in
this college is to teach and engage children to know God in Jesus
Christ."

   John Witherspoon, first president of Princeton: "Cursed by all
learning that is contrary to the cross of Christ."

   William and Mary was established "that the Christian faith might be
propagated."

   Dartmouth was founded to train missionaries to the Indians.
