BBB:One More Slap in The Face

   Daily, we get mail from born-again, saved, soul winning (once
married) people, who think clearly and are "serious" Bible students,
and much too intelligent to believe the baloney being dished out today
by people like Gary Hudson, Doug Kutilek, Robert Sumner, and others.
Here is a typical report from a born-again, saved, soul winning pastor
in Middleburg, Florida (once married).

   "Dear Dr. Ruckman, just a note to say I thank God for men like you.
Your paper and books have been a blessing to me. I am a graduate of BBC
Springfield, Missouri, and was led to believe in the `originals.' But
thank God six years ago I began to read some of your material, and it
was then that I realized the King James Bible was true to the word of
God...l would like to know of some Bible believing missionaries that we
could support. Holding forth the KJV...etc."

   On it goes; America is simply filled with born-again, saved, soul
winning people whom God is using because they believe the Book and
stand by it. The "handfuls of purpose" that I get from time to time are
merely little "pats on the back" that God in His grace allows me to
have, to remind me that people who correct the King James Bible don't
count with Him one way or another.

   One more slap in the face, "I believe the Lord would have me write
you about what happened through using some of your material. I recently
got your video tape by Brother Castle on Rock Music. I have been
working on my partner of the shop where I work for the last six months.
He is thirty-six years old, a repeat drunk, hard rock fan, divorced
because of booze, sorry, and ill-tempered. He lost practically every
thing he had on this earth. I gave him Brother Castle's rock video
tape, and he watched it that day. The next day he walked in to work
where I was already standing, and I could tell something was different
by the expression on his face. I thought he might have killed somebody
because nobody would have put it past him. The first thing he said was,
'Well, I did it.' With fear and trembling I said, "What?" Tears came to
his eyes, and he started to shake slightly. I thought he had killed our
foreman or somebody. He said he "asked God to save me. No, I begged God
to save me," and then he started to explain what happened to him while
watching the video tape. When it got to the part where the song "There
is a Fountain Filled With Blood," that is where he realized that God
would save him if he asked Him to. He thought he was so wicked he
couldn't get saved. Then he said how different it all seemed, how light
he felt. He wasn't mad at anyone anymore, not even his ex-wife. Then he
showed me his Bible that he had been reading for the last few days on
and off at home, the one he had used to look up verses as he watched
the tape. Yes, it was an old King James Bible somebody had given him
one time when he was in jail. He had this Book in front of him when he
begged God to save him. You know what he said that he found out? He
said that `the Book is true after all'.

   "You know what I found out once again, that some people cannot be
reached for God by the standard soul winning ways, that is why I have
always supported your work. So keep on being untactful, rude, crude,
and all the rest. Some people will find the Lord no other way but
through plain preaching of the word of God. May the Lord bless your
ministry and Brother Castle, and men like yourselves who just tell it
like it is."

   That is worth all lhe abuse that any ten thousand amateur Bible
critics could level at me with fifty thousand publications.
