This suite features 4 Internet buttons provided on the keyboard for one step access to common Internet functions. These buttons are Instant Internet, Instant Search, Instant E-Mail, and Secure E-Commerce. The Instant Internet button provides an easy, one-step connection to the Compaq Website. The Instant Search button launches a search engine to help consumers locate information on the Internet. The Instant E-Mail button opens the Microsoft Outlook Express E-Mail application.

CD and DVD playback controls are located in the middle of the keyboard. These multimedia buttons provide shortcuts to frequently used DVD and audio CD playing controls including Play, Stop, Pause, Next Track, and Previous Track. In the past, these software features have been hidden under layers of software on the desktop, making them less accessible to use on a daily basis.

These buttons enable the user to control the audio output level, either on a DVD movie or an audio CD. When the Volume Up/Down buttons are pressed, the audio output is immediately regulated up or down respectively. Holding down a volume button will slowly and steadily increase or decrease the volume accordingly. Also present is the Mute button.

The popular Instant On button is also featured on the new Compaq keyboard. Pressing the Instant On button will place the computer into an energy-saving Sleep mode.

The Favorite Application Launch button allows consumers to launch the application of their choice. The default application for this button is Microsoft Works.

Show the Internet Button Suite. Also, showing the one touch access to the Internet is the best bang for the buck.
