 A        A = enter answer mode.
          You would not put this in your modem init string or you
          would never be able to make outgoing calls.  You would
          not even put it another string called the auto-answer
          string that Telix would send whenever you want to start
          accepting incoming calls.  By typing ATA you cause your
          modem to immediately answer the phone.  You might use
          this feature if someone had dialed you with a voice
          call.  He would type ATO0 at his computer to make his
          modem start talking.  You would type ATA at your
          computer to make your modem start listening.
