  str _mdm_hang[19];

  .  Description

  The _mdm_hang system variable holds the string that should be sent
  to the modem to hang it up when the user presses Alt-H. Note that
  this string will only be sent to the modem if Telix can't first
  hang-up the modem by turning off a signal on the serial port called
  the DTR line. This string may contain translation characters as de-
  fined in the Telix manual, and should be sent to the modem with the
  cputs_tr function. Maximum length is 19 characters.
