Memory allocation
This option selects the full-resident or small mode of the
 Commander.

When this option is checked, the Commander deallocates
memory before execution of a program and loads itself again
when the program exits. It leaves in memory only small part
 of the Commander.

Uncheck this option to set the Commander in full-resident
mode. So, you can execute programs quicker without reloading
the Commander each time. The program would have less memory
 available to them, though.

Note: If you work in full-resident mode, use Shift-Enter
to execute a program in small mode without changing
this option. Hold down Shift when you select
command from the History or User menu.
