Rename or Move F6, Shift + F6, Ctrl + F6
This command allows you to rename files and directories, or
to move files and subdirectories to other directories or
disk drives. There are four ways you can use this command:

. You can rename or move the file or subdirectory under
the cursor bar in a file panel, or you can rename a
        directory in a tree panel.

. You can rename or move a group of files and
directories that you've marked with the Ins key or
Select group, Unselect group and Invert group.

. You can type in the name of the file to rename or
move (or a group of files if you use DOS wildcard
characters). Press Shift+F6 or hold down Shift when
you select Rename or move from the Files menu.

. You can rename or move one file or subdirectory under
the cursor bar even if some files and directories
were marked. Press Ctrl + F6 or hold down Ctrl when
you select Rename or move from the Files menu.

Pressing F6 (or selecting Rename or move) brings up a dialog
 box like:

      +-------------------- Rename --------------------+
      | Rename or move "somefile.ext" to |
      | _ |
      -------------------------------------------------|
      | [ Move ] [ F10-Tree ] [ Cancel ] |
      +------------------------------------------------+

There are three ways you can select where to move the
 file(s) to:

. Type the name of the directory where you want to move
the file or directory to (or the name of a new file
        if you're renaming a file).

. Press F10 to bring up a pop-up directory tree of the
current disk and select a directory from this tree.
Alt-F10 brings up directory tree of the target disk.

. Set up the Commander so there are two file panels,
with the inactive panel showing the directory to
which you want to move the files.

   Cancelling Rename or Move:
Press Esc at any time to stop renaming or moving
        files and directories.

   Overwriting Files:
If the target file(s) exist, you'll be asked for
confirmation. You can choose between overwriting and
        appending to files.

Note: This command deletes the \treeinfo.ncd file when
          you rename or move directories.
