Network
ISDN-2 connection
|
This service is
ideal for corporate customers requiring better
connectivity than is possible over dial up services. The
Integrated Systems Digital Network (ISDN) is more
reliable and the dialling process is automatic and fast.
|
The customer
will need to install an ISDN-2 service from their
telephone company, this can be run on one or two channels
depending on your companies requirements giving you a
connection speed of 64,000 or 128,000 bps.
|
The service
will enable any computer on the customer’s LAN to
access the Internet through the router, which will dial
automatically whenever, the computer requests a connection,
and will hang up after a specified idle period, thereby
reducing telephone charges. The customer is entirely
responsible for the telephone charges and all operations
on the local network.

Routers:
|
The customer
will require a router to sit between their local area
network and the ISDN-2 line. This can either be supplied
by the customer or by Pavilion. If the customer supplies
the router, it is their responsibility to install,
configure and maintain it to Pavilion’s
specifications. If Pavilion supply the router, then they
will configure and maintain it.
