ScanCom of Norway has been awarded a GSM license in 10/95. Local partner is ScanConstruction. Approximately 100 base stations, to begin operations mid 1996. Negotiating interconnect with local PTT. Scancom intends investments of $50 to $100 million (US). Reportedly will be combining with wirless local loop systems.
