[About The Guide]
What are objects
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Template Language Object corresponds to a "thing" of the same
class defined within the UI Editor or within the currently
attached data dictionary. Each class of Objects has a set of
characteristics associated which describe a member of the class.
These various characteristics or attributes of an Object can be
used like variables; the values can be used in expressions but
they can, where noted, be changed with an assignment statement.
There are several important things about Objects:
Objects are the primary data structures within
the Template Language; the purpose of the
language is to manipulate Object definitions to
write programs.
An Object, like BOX, is an entity with a set of
characteristics or attributes, like box.row,
which describe the Object.
The set of Objects "seen" by the Template
Language correspond to the set of Objects
defined and maintained by the UI Editor.
