Step 1: Clear Netscape's Cache

Netscape improves internet performance by copying web pages to your local hard drive. Netscape is not harmed when the files are removed. You must remove these files to obtain valid results.

From the Netscape Options menu bar:

• For Netscape 2.x, click on the "Network Preferences" menu bar
• For Netscape 1.x, click on the "Preferences" menu bar
• Click the "Clear Memory Cache Now" button
• Click the "Clear Disk Cache Now" button

FYI:

We used the Netscape default of 500K memory cache and 5000K disk cache.

We used the default "Verify Documents": once per Session" radio button.

For the following steps, you will need to record the start and stop times and enter them into the table in testform.doc, or testform.txt. You may print testform.htm and manually enter the data. Mail the results to the address in BrowseFast's Help/About menu bar.
